Lives Changed Forever: Highlights from CCC’s Summer Celebration

There are nights you will never forget, and this year’s Christ Community Church Summer Celebration was one of them. Hundreds of people poured onto the lawn, bringing picnic blankets, lawn chairs, and expectant hearts. The evening was full of everything you would hope for at a summer gathering. Delicious food trucks lined the lot, kids raced each other through inflatable obstacle courses, and the sweet sounds of live music filled the air. Families shared meals, friends reconnected, and laughter echoed across the field as the sun set.

The night ended with a spectacular fireworks show that lit up the summer sky in a brilliant display of color. But as amazing as the party atmosphere was, the true highlight of the night was not the games or the music or even the fireworks.

The Heart of the Celebration: 56 Baptisms

The most powerful moments came as 56 people stepped into the waters of baptism, each one declaring a new life in Jesus Christ. The crowd gathered around the baptism pools erupted in cheers, clapping and celebrating as each person came up from the water, symbolizing a fresh start and a transformed heart.

Every baptism was unique. Some came with tears of joy streaming down their faces, others grinned ear to ear, overwhelmed by the moment. Friends and family members hugged, prayed, and celebrated right alongside them. There was a deep sense of awe as people witnessed God’s power to change lives and bring hope.

The joy in the air was undeniable. It felt like heaven was touching earth as stories of brokenness being restored and hearts being made new unfolded one after another. This was a night that reminded everyone present that when lives are changed for eternity, it is a party worth having.

A Special Father-Son Moment: Adam and Adam Jr.

Among the many unforgettable stories, one stood out: the story of Adam and his son, Adam Jr., who shared a life-changing moment by being baptized together. Over the past year, God has been working in their hearts and transforming their family. That work culminated in a breathtaking scene as father and son stepped into the waters of baptism side by side.

Adam Jr. captured the heart of the moment when he shared,
“It felt really good to help baptize my Dad. I loved baptizing him, and I loved that he baptized me. I felt washed and clean, and just like my dad said, I feel light.”

The joy radiating from Adam Jr.’s face reflected the excitement and freedom he felt in Jesus. Meanwhile, Adam, the father, spoke of his decision with honesty and gratitude:

“I decided to get baptized because I wanted to show I was being led by God internally,” he said.
“Getting baptized the same day as my son was a blessing I never knew existed. It is just proof I am not the writer of my story.”

That night, the two of them helped baptize each other, creating a powerful and emotional memory that will last a lifetime.

“Being baptized with my son has created an incredible and emotional experience that will live on all our days,” Adam shared.
“The only word I have for the feeling after is light. Taking the leap of faith into Jesus’ waters has been an unforgettable journey.”

This father-son moment reminded everyone watching that God does not just change individuals. He can change entire families, generations, and stories.

Join the Celebration

We are celebrating Adam, Adam Jr., and every single person who was baptized during the Summer Celebration. Each of these 56 people represents a testimony of God’s grace, love, and power to transform lives. Their stories are only beginning, and we invite you to join us in praying for them as they take their next steps with Jesus.

The Summer Celebration was more than a party. It was a glimpse of heaven’s joy when people find new life in Christ. It was a reminder that even in a world filled with noise and challenges, God is still moving powerfully. And when lives are changed for eternity, it truly is a party worth having.
