On Sunday, July 13, we kicked off something powerful at Christ Community Church. As part of the launch of our new CCC App and our summer series through 1st, 2nd, and 3rd John, we invited our church into a bold and beautiful goal:

50,000 prayers prayed through the app in 8 weeks!

But this challenge is not about reaching a number. It’s about stepping into something deeper. It’s about drawing closer to God and to each other. It’s about making a big church feel a little smaller, one prayer at a time.

Why This Challenge?

During Sunday’s service, Jarrett, part of our staff team, shared what this challenge has meant for him personally and why it matters so much for our community.

“What the Lord led me into was seeing it as 50,000 opportunities to see His faithfulness and goodness on display in our church family.
50,000 opportunities for the Kingdom of Heaven to go forth on Earth.
50,000 opportunities for a big church to feel smaller.”

The prayer feature in the CCC App is quickly becoming one of the most meaningful ways we are connecting as a church family. As Jarrett shared:

“Far and away, my favorite feature has been praying for and being prayed for by my CCC family.”

This tool is helping people care for each other in real time. It’s creating spiritual intimacy in relationships. It’s helping friends, families, and groups stay connected beyond Sunday.

Big Prayers. Little Prayers. Every Prayer.

Sometimes we think only the “big” prayers matter to God—healing from a diagnosis, a major life decision, a breakthrough. But God sees it all. He cares about the everyday moments too.

This challenge is a reminder that:

• Big prayers matter to God
• Small prayers matter to God
• Every prayer in between is an invitation to trust Him

When you post a prayer or pray for someone else, you’re saying, “God, I believe You are near. I believe You care. I believe You hear us.”

How to Join the Challenge

Here’s how you can take part:

1. Open the CCC App
2. Tap the “Pray Alongside Your Community” tab
3. Swipe through requests and spend time praying
4. Click “Done” to log your prayers
5. Submit your own request and let others pray for you

Jarrett encouraged us with this reminder:

“This isn’t just about using an app. It’s about creating sacred space in your day to pause, to listen, and to lift one another up. Every time you pray—whether it’s one request or ten—you’re stepping into the work God is already doing in someone’s life.”
