Women's Bible Studies – Summer 2018

Women's Bible studies offer truth, support, encouragement, and laughter to women of all ages and stages.  We hope you will invite a friend, neighbor, or co-worker to join you this summer.

A fee will be charged for classes. Please register early to ensure materials are available for you the first day of class.  If you are registering for multiple classes, it is helpful if you register for both at the same time and take the appropriate discount offered.

*Childcare is not available for the WBS Summer Classes.

Tuesday morning / Begins May 29

    Made to Crave / Led by Kim Schmidt / 8 weeks / ends 7.24 / $21 / 9:30 – 11:00AM / Room TBA
Made to Crave is a philosophy of eating rather than a strategy, such as a diet plan.  It is for you if you believe we were made for more than excuses and vicious cycles.  We can taste success.  We can experience truth.  We can choose to stay on the path of hard work and perseverance.  We can build one success on top of another.  We can keep “made for more” at the top of our minds and on the tips of our tongues.  And our eating habits can be totally transformed as we keep asking, embrace our true identity, find the deeper reason for claiming that identity and operate in the hope and power that’s like no other.

Class will not meet June 12.  Study commitment:  apply each week’s teaching.

Monday evening / Begins June 4

Discerning the Voice of God:  How to Recognize When God Speaks / 7-8:30 PM / 7 weeks / ends 7.23 / $18 / Facilitated by Susan Friesen, Rebecca Perry and Nicole Shields / Student Center

If hearing God has seemed challenging, join us as we explore a more intimate relationship with Him, one that can make hearing Him – His will, His heart, and His voice – your ongoing experience.  Discover how you can listen with greater confidence, clarity and discernment.  Updated and substantially expanded, this revised video study by Priscilla Shirer includes weekly insights from Priscilla’s father, Dr. Tony Evans.  More deeply understand the Holy Spirit’s role in your life.  Differentiate His voice from imposters’ voices, even from your own.  Glimpse His guidance in your everyday life.  Grow consistently in obedience, surrender, stillness, and humility.

Class will not meet the week of July 4th.  Study commitment:  30 minutes a day, 5 days a week.
