The Wait is Over

This week is a time to celebrate. We celebrate because our wait is over. The One we’ve been waiting for arrives and we read that Jesus shall be called Immanuel, which means God with us (Matthew 1:23). With that said, there are many people who feel alone this time of year. But God’s presence has nothing to do with your feelings. You see, God came to Earth to remind you and me that He is always with you. No matter where you are and no matter what you’re feeling God is with you. The Bible says, “I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence!” (Psalm 139:7)

You may have been abandoned in your life, by a spouse, by a parent, or by a friend, but God is with you. The Bible says, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5) and one of God’s great promises in the Bible is that “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned” (Isaiah 43:2).

I don’t know what difficulty you’re going through right now or where in your life you are facing a great battle, but I do know that whatever your struggle, you are not alone. God is with you! So do not be afraid because God’s presence conquers your loneliness, your anxiety and your fears.

"She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." - Matthew 1:21
