Blessed Are the Pure in Heart

"As in water face reflects face; so the heart of man reflects the man." - Proverbs 27:19

Part of being a person of good character is having a pure heart. Pure means to be singular in substance, without any imperfections or impurities.” A pure heart is a heart that is solely committed to Christ (Matthew 10:37-39). So, how is your heart? It is important that you address this question in your life, because having an impure heart becomes a barrier to us seeking the Lord. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God” (Matthew 5:8).

None of us can have a heart in one condition and produce fruit of an opposite condition. Inevitably, the condition of your heart will affect your actions, and your actions will affect your heart. “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the LORD sees not as man sees; man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart” (1 Samuel 16:7). A pure heart is of great value to God.

So again I ask you, how is the condition of your heart? In what areas of your life do you need to confess, repent and start living wholeheartedly for the Lord?
