Global Summit 2011

Ever since the beginning, God’s heart has been for the whole world. When he made his covenant with Abraham, he said that he would be a blessing to all nations. Through Isaiah, he said Jesus would be a light not only to the Jews, but also the Gentiles. The early followers of Jesus took his good news throughout the known world in an effort to take it to the ends of the earth. Now it is our turn to carry the torch for the next leg of the race – to complete the great commission in our generation.

Next week, we launch our annual Global Summit – a week to focus on the global issues that are deep on God’s heart. We will recognize that increased creativity and resourcefulness is necessary to carry the good news into the hardest to reach places of the world. The faces of business people, like Dusty/Julia Reynolds play a critical role. The faces of engineers like Graham/Carrie Frank will see open doors where others could not get in. Doctors, lawyers, printers, teachers, professors… all will be necessary faces in the changing face of missions. Your face will be needed too. What role do you have in God’s global cause?

Be sure you have signed up for your 30 minute tour of “Project Experience” – an interactive museum experience of what most of the world in poverty faces on a daily basis. It will be available at varied convenient times and will give us an unusually effective means to understand our role in the world. You will also experience a missions thrust at our Sunday services and in each of your ministries from toddlers to Senior. Prepare to meet those on the cutting edge of missions impact and be inspired to support them!

Below is your schedule and link to sign up for Project Experience.

Thanks to all of you for being a church that cares SO greatly about God’s global purposes. May God strengthen us all and give us fresh energy to pursue him during Global Summit 2011!
