Flood Response

Being a neighbor doesn't mean it's in your own neighborhood-whether we life close together or far apart, we're the family of God.

The devastating flooding across our region has affected thousands of people. As we assess how our church can best serve our community, we are working with a local partner called Omaha Rapid Response. Clean-up work begins when the water has fully receded. Omaha Rapid Response will be coordinating teams over the next couple of months.

For now, here are a few ways you can get involved:

Volunteer

Our community will be involved in flood relief efforts for months to come, and Omaha Rapid Response is committed to walking alongside and helping flood victims. Please consider organizing a group of people from your journey group, family, neighbors, etc. to serve together. What an amazing opportunity we, as Christ followers, have right in front of us to tangibly love our neighbors.

Donate Items to the Love Can Store

If you would like to donate other items (furniture, clothing, shoes, home goods) to help people who have been directly impacted by the floods, visit the Love Can Store. The Love Can Store is a non-profit run by CCC members and they are ready and able to accept and distribute items to those in need. For a complete list of items needed and for drop-off/pick-up details, visit lovecanstore.comPlease do not drop off these items at the church. We are not equipped to process these types of donations.

Financial Donations

If you would like to give financially to the flooding relief efforts of the church, you can do so by placing cash in CCC Giving Envelopes and writing “Flood” on the outside of the envelope. If you give with a check, simply write “Flood” in the memo line. This will ensure your gift goes directly to the flood relief fund.

You can also give online. Be sure to choose “Flood Relief” in the drop-down menu.
