Mali Hospital
Mali project

In the summer of 2005, CCC initiated The Mali Project, a strategic partnership committing one million dollars to construct a maternity building at The Hospital for Women and Children in the city of Koutiala, Mali. This hospital is the only Christian hospital in the entire country, an area twice the size of Texas. In Africa, women typically give birth at home, with unsanitary conditions and lack of medical assistance putting them and their newborns at risk. The Hospital for Women and Children not only provides a safe sanitary environment for mothers and their newborns, it is also a catalyst for sharing the love of Jesus to families in Mali. Now that the maternity wing has opened, short-term medical, construction and technology teams continue to travel to Mali supported by prayer and the financial generosity of individuals at CCC and beyond.

The C&MA has been invested in Mali since 1923. Faithful men and women, dedicated to God's purposes, are credited with organizing a sustainable national church in Mali. The presence of a national church allows initiatives to be developed and supported in the country, including a witness among the Gana and Bozo people and to the professional class in the capital city of Bamako.
