Why join a Journey Group?
Grow in your relationship with God
The smaller setting gives you the opportunity to dig deeper into Scripture and ask questions in a discussion-based format. Interact with and learn from others.
"Being able to spend time with a group of women while diving into scripture or reading a book together helped my faith grow. I knew I wanted to know God more deeply and learn to love others as God loves and accepts me." – Kim
Develop friendships with others
The smaller group of people gives you the opportunity to form genuine friendships and care for others in times of need.
"As the group has progressed, we have deepened friendships and have grown spiritually with one another. In less than a year we've been able to prayerfully support each other through some major life changes and even family tragedies." – Kyle and Natalie
Make an impact for the Kingdom
Double your impact with your Journey Group. Make a difference by serving together in the city or participating in CCC's partnerships around the world.
"Serving has provided an excellent opportunity to expand my faith through interaction with other believers. Our group's goal is to take our collective passion for reaching the materially and spiritually poor to the streets of Omaha through working with refugees. It's our hope that by demonstrating our love for them and for Christ, many would come to know Jesus." – Steve
How do I join a Journey Group?
Start with people you know
Ask those you naturally connect with if they are in a Journey Group and if there's room for you. If most aren't in a group, consider starting a new one together. The Adult Discipleship Team will help you with everything you need to get your group started, from finding curriculum to ongoing leadership training.
Attend GroupLink
GroupLink is a networking event where those looking for a Journey Group can meet leaders of existing groups and find a group that fits them. GroupLink is held periodically throughout the year. Check the
News feed for the next event.
