We have been talking about dealing with media for a few weeks in our Sixers small groups.  The main point of the discussions has been putting a filter in place to keep bad elements out of our lives and making sure that filter is aligned with God's standards.

I came across this article today from the NY Times.  The article highlights another recent study that has made direct connections between high exposure to media (movies, music, TV, internet, etc.) and high risk for health issues.  Some of the "health" issues would also fall into the sin category for followers of Jesus (like sexual activity). 

Most parents are thinking about guarding their kids from danger and sickness.  How many are thinking about guarding them from too much media?
