Discussion Q's for 3/15

Big Idea: In the book of Nahum God is depicted as a warrior coming to defeat Israel's enemies.  God is a warrior in our lives as well.
  • Students: Share with your family some of the ways God is described in Nahum.  How does this affect the way you view God?
  • Students: In what ways do you think our world needs God as a warrior?
  • Parents: How have you experienced God fighting for you in your life?
  • Together: Thank God for defeating sin and death in our lives and pray that He will return soon to defeat all His enemies and make all things right.

"Finger Tip Porn"

If you didn't know, we just finished our two week purity series in our small groups and this seems like a great time to further the topic with you.  Thankfully, I came across this article from Walt Mueller at the Center for Teen/Parent Understanding (it's kind of a goofy name, but they are masters at helping us understand teen culture).

Check out his article here and maybe we'll start a campaign together to remove computers from all students' bedrooms.  They may "hate us" for a little while, but it may just be the best thing we could ever do for their purity.

Feel free to post your thoughts or objections in the comment section.
