New Intern...needs home

I have a great opportunity for a family/couple to participate in our intern program for a few months.  The Herd has a new intern starting in March and we need a little help.  As part of our agreement with Crown College, I need to find room and board for Miles from March through August.  If you have an interest in helping with this, drop me an email or call me at the church and I can give you more specifics.

Discussion Q's for 1/4

Happy New Year!  We're starting 2009 off with a teaching series about what we were made for.  The first week focused on the fact that we were made by God rather than evolving on our own.
  • Students: From your experience, how has your school handled the idea of being created by God?  Do they ignore it, ridicule it, or talk about it?
  • Parents: What do you think is the biggest impact of believing we are created by God rather than evolved?
  • All: How do you think your life would be different if we had evolved rather than being created by God?
  • Parents: Pray that God will help your students see through the misinformation they may hear at school regarding evolution and/or creation.
