What an Amazing Time

We had our first service with a lot of excitement and smiles

Lewis and Clark Middle School

Our launch team showed up in force to load, unload, move, and rearrange both Saturday and Sunday.

Worship at CCC Sarpy

Children's ministry went exceptionally well.
Worship was inspiring.
Technically the services went smoothly.
There were a total of 204 that came on Sunday.
More importantly, we had three visiting families from the area. Two families had heard word of mouth about the services from people here at Old Mill. However, one family came because they saw the trailer parked in front of the school!

God truly did amazing things among us on Sunday.

Keep praying for
  • each week to progress well
  • energy for the launch team.
  • favor in the community and word of mouth to compliment our mailings that are going out over the next three weeks.

  • the 2,500 door hangers we are putting out the next two Saturdays February 2nd and 9th.

January 27th Walk Thru services

Services will be held at 9:00 and 10:45 at Lewis and Clark Middle School. Go to the West entrance, which is the back of the school. Directions are described in #6. You can also go to www.cccomaha.org and click on New to CCC? and then on directions.

We will be doing three "walk thru's" starting Sunday, January 27th and the ensuing Sundays on February 3 and 10. Our Grand Opening services start February 17th.

Here is what will happen this Sunday.

  1. Children's Ministry: Nursery through 6th grade will be held both hours with a fully trained staff in both hours.
  2. Student Ministry: will be offered for 7-12 grade during the 9:00am service. We will be meeting at the school. Look for Steve & Kris Perry by the food table.
  3. Worship style: it will be similar to what occurs at Access in Old Mill. Our worship team will grow over the next few weeks and be in full form on February 17th.
  4. We will have the privilege to sit around tables in the auditorium giving you opportunity to interact with those at your table.
  5. Teaching will be in a video venue from the previous weeks message at CCC-Old Mill.
  6. We meet at Lewis and Clark Middle School, 13502 S. 38th St. Bellevue. Go south on 36th Street 1.5 miles from Hwy 370. Turn right into the Heartland Hills subdivision [Sheridan Ave]. Lewis and Clark is two blocks west on 38th Street.

I am really excited about this opportunity and look forward to having you come!

Just the Facts

It is exciting to have many people ask me about the multi-site. People inquiring on how everything is going, how am I doing, etc. However, many people are asking some of the basic questions who are planning to attend.

Questions such as:
"When and where are you meeting?"
"I know you are meeting in a school..where is it?"
"What time is your service[s]?"
"Will you have Children's and Youth Ministry?"

I'm glad they asked. Inquiring minds want to know.

Below is a thumbnail of the basic components of our Sunday Schedule at CCC-Sarpy.

  • Services will be held at 9:00 and 10:45 starting February 17th.
  • Children's Ministry: Nursery through 6th grade will be held both hours with a fully trained staff in both hours.
  • Student Ministry: will be offered for 7-12 grade during the 9:00am service. We will be meeting in a neighborhood home with an adult staff of four. Juice and doughnuts will be served if the adult staff doesn't eat them all first.
  • Worship style: it will be similar to what occurs in Access. Jason Hinze will be our lead worshipper accompanied by vocalists, keyboard, guitars and drums.
  • We will have the privilege to sit around tables there in the auditorium and be able to interact with those at the table.
  • The teaching aspect will be in a video venue from the previous weeks message at CCC-Old Mill.
  • Lastly, we meet at Lewis and Clark Middle School, 13502 S. 38th St. Bellevue. Go south on 36th Street 1.5 miles from Hwy 370. Turn right into the Heartland Hills subdivision [Sheridan Ave]. Lewis and Clark is two blocks west on 38th Street.

How "others" can help

I know. Some of you might want to help at the Sarpy Campus, but for various reasons, don't want to commit to a 12 month stay. I would like to encourage you, your Journey Group or even a New Community Group to think about coming to the Sarpy Campus and helping out for a month. Great you say. Nice idea. Question: what do I do? What can a individual or group do for four weeks?

Well, I asked our Sarpy launch team that question. Here are the Top Ten ways you can help.
  1. Be an extra hand in Children's Ministry. We want greeters armed with stickers to meet the children and parents and welcome them to the church.
  2. We need help in providing food for Sunday morning. Our facilities are very conducive to allow people to get some coffee and something to munch on before, between or after the services.
  3. There will be need to help in doing our mailings to the neighborhoods.
  4. We are wanting to adopt and embrace the teachers of Lewis and Clark Middle School. We could use your help with treats, supplies, and food for the teachers throughout the year.
  5. I will offer that if they need some landscaping or planting around the school. We'll need help buying and planting the items.
  6. Help with tear down, resetting of the class rooms and clean up after the services. We want to leave the school cleaner than when we came that morning.
  7. Eventually we will be doing neighborhood carnivals and BBQ's. Think you could supervise an inflatable or flip some burgers? We could use you!
  8. We will have a portable library. Maybe your group could help with books or helping with check out of material.
  9. There will always be a need for greeters at the doors, parking lot attendents, guides to take visitors to the children's ministry area.
  10. Help equip children's ministry rooms. Regularly we will need additional equipment and supplies, maybe you could help?

Thank you for your interest. If you have further questions or want to sign up to help, be sure to email me at: stevew@cccomaha.org. I'll be sure to get you in contact with the right person.

I thank you in advance for your help in allowing CC-Sarpy impact the world with the love of Jesus.
